Natalia Diaz was born in Santiago de Cali, Colombia. When Natalia was 11-years-old she moved to the United States with her family. Natalia states that as most immigrant children, she struggled to learn a new language and culture. Within the first six months of being in this country, Natalia became an honor roll student. Due to Natalia’s academic achievements, she received a full academic scholarship at St. Joseph’s College. In 2010, Natalia graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Natalia was then hired at a manufacturing company for a non-accounting related job. Shortly thereafter, she was promoted to an Accounting Coordinator. In 2012, Natalia decided to pursue a Master’s degree while being a full-time worker. She graduated with a Master’s of Business Administration in Accounting degree in 2014. She was then promoted further within the company; she is now the Financial Controller.
In the midst of her professional career, Natalia also had a dream to open a fast food Colombian restaurant in Long Island. At 18 years of age, she began to save money so that someday Long Island will enjoy the fast food flavors of Colombia. Ten years later she was able to make her dream a reality with the help from her business partners, Alexander Zuluaga and Jennifer Diaz- Muller. Currently Natalia is studying for the Certified Public Accountant exam. Natalia’s goal is to someday open a Tax Firm, where she can help the Hispanic community with accounting and taxation needs.
